Application for full planning permission to extend 33 Audley
Gate has appealed to the Secretary of State and there will, in the very near
future, be a Public Local Inquiry before an Inspector. The
applicant wishes to enlarge the house by two storey side and single storey
extensions. Netherton Neighbourhood Association (NNA) and several
adjacent residents believe the proposal was far too large, altered the
original open space design of the properties, could be an unsightly and an
unacceptable intrusion into the pleasant open space environment of Audley
Gate.
Perhaps, NNA and local residents comments on the application
assisted the planners to come to a conclusion to not approve the application
and the applicant not agreeing with the Peterborough City Council (PCC)
Planners' opinion on totally planning grounds and local policies has
appealed to have the PCC non-approval overturned by the Secretary of State.
The Appeal will be dealt with by an exchange of written
statements to be submitted to the Planning Inspectorate by both the
appellant and the Local Planning Authority. There will be a site visit
made by an Inspector from the Planning Inspectorate.
Details of the appellant's grounds of appeal are now
available for inspection at Bridge House during normal office hours.
The PCC written statement will be available for inspection on 23 June 2008,
six weeks from the start of the Appeal.
If anyone wishes to withdraw or modify earlier views in any
ways they should write direct to the Planning Inspectorate quoting the
following reference APP/J0540/A/0820737/WF.
It should be noted that the Planning Inspectorate require you
to send them three copies of your correspondence.
