Election of Officers and Committee
At this
point on the Agenda all Officers and Committee resign. The Chairman asked
Councillor Matthew Dalton if he would conduct the election of Officers and
Committee for the remainder of 2009 and up to October 2010.
Councillor Dalton asked the meeting if there were any volunteers for the
vacant positions. There was one volunteer, Mr. Gordon Barker.
In this
situation Councillor Dalton asked the previously resigned Officers and
Committee if they were willing to be re-elected. All said they would be
willing and were duly proposed and seconded.
Officers and Committee would now be:-
Officer
Southwood would be carrying out a ground survey relating to access in Denham
Walk where it was thought that due to parked cars access would or could be
delayed.
The
Chairman said that the attendance of the Fire and Rescue Service was a very
valuable asset at this time of year as we go from Autumn into winter.
Police
It must
be placed on record that the warranted Police Sgt and PCSOs had a very
difficult time reporting crime and what could be done about reduction of
crime. There were many, many, questions related to experiences of residents
that needed comprehensive and promised action replies which, as has been
said, were very difficult to give a definitive reply to, as miscreants had
to be caught in the act or an observation strategy had to be set up which
took time. Residents were informed in detail of the activities of the
recently appointed Schools Safety Officer stationed at Jack Hunt School
Other
Business
There
being no other business the meeting closed The Chairman offered his thanks
to 47 residents, Police, Fire and Rescue Service, for coming to the meeting
and giving us the best of information.
In
closing he thanked, in absentia, Mrs. Chris Hawke for all the hard work she
puts in on producing our Web Pages.
He also
took this opportunity to thank the School in allowing us the use of School
accommodation.
