NETHERTON FRIENDSHIP CLUB

The Netherton Friendship Club is one of several Friendship Clubs in the Peterborough area. The Clubs are for the benefit and enjoyment of Senior Citizens and we meet weekly on Tuesdays for various activities including quizzes, demonstrations and guest speakers. Teas and coffees and a cooked lunch, prepared on the premises, are provided. Membership is currently about 60 and there is a short waiting list: on most weeks up to 50 members attend.

The twice-yearly Club sales are popular local events and the money raised goes towards the cost of club outings.

The Christmas sale on 26th November was very successful and raised, a record total, of £870.66 which will help to pay for Club outings and other expenses.

For all enquiries please contact Marion Quinn 01733 767539.

NETHERTON ASSOCIATION NEEDS YOU

THE GRANGE

We have had several people asking about the building work because somehow it did not appear to be right and somewhat different from people’s experience of what a building site should look like and perhaps, contain.

Anyway, I called out the planning officers responsible for the conditional approval of The Grange and low and behold they seemed somewhat stunned when we walked around the site with them last Friday afternoon. Poleaxed may be better

All this has blown up into a list of items ‘of concern’ which the Committee have had reported to them and we have received an instruction to send the list to Councillors and so on.  Read NNA's list of concerns: Westwood Grange Allotments.
